After opening just a few days ago, on May 26, guests have started peeling paint off the walls along the standby queue of Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring the Muppets at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
Peeling Paint
Shortly after the opening of the ride, there were reports that entire sections of paint were peeled off through the queue of Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster.
With strips of gray paint peeled away, we can see through to the underlayer of paint. Once guests realized they could peel the paint, it seems many decided to remove the paint altogether, leaving many streaks throughout the walls along the queue.

We saw remnants of peeled paint gathering in areas beside the queue today. Guests have peeled the paint from the walls and tossed it aside on the ground. Here we saw gray paint strips strewn across the piano keys beneath the guitar outside the attraction.

We saw more peeled paint in various areas around the outside edges of the queue.

The peeled paint referenced in the X post has been repaired since yesterday, as you can see above. The peeled areas from the post above have been painted over. Despite the paint patching, the little piles of peeled paint were not cleaned up and remain around the attraction.
We also saw several other areas with additional peeled paint damage.

Some of the columns along the queue have the largest portions of damage now that the other wall has been repaired.

While not as significant, we also saw some other areas that show evidence of guests digging at the paint.

This ride is a refurbishment of the original Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith. Check out our last look at the original ride, which closed permanently at the beginning of March.
