More coaster supports and a new framework have been installed for the future Monsters, Inc. door coaster at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. The ride is being built in a cast member parking lot adjacent to the former Muppets Courtyard, soon-to-be Monstropolis.
Monsters, Inc. Coaster Construction

Installation of tall black coaster supports began in early February. There are several more of these supports now in place. The steel framing near the center appears to be the beginnings of a show building.

There’s also at least one blue support now standing. We saw blue supports staged backstage a little over a week ago. Presumably, the blue supports will be more visible to guests than the black ones — maybe located in the loading area.
The roller coaster — set in the Monsters, Inc. door vault — will be Disney’s first suspended coaster and first vertical lift coaster. Monstropolis takes over the former Muppets Courtyard, with a new theater, restaurants, and more.
