The popular Star Wars “Galactic ID” offering from Disneyland Resort is now available at Walt Disney World. You can find the machine at the AMC movie theater in Disney Springs.
Star Wars Galactic ID – $15

Unfortunately, you have to purchase a movie ticket to access the photo booth, which is in the lobby of the regular theaters (not the dine-in side) near the concessions stand. But beyond that barrier to entry, the experience is the same as at Disneyland.

There are six ID designs based on different factions in the Star Wars universe: Jedi Knight, TIE Fighter pilot, Stormtrooper, X-Wing pilot, bounty hunter, and New Republic pilot.

Inside the booth, you first select your faction. Then you pay by tapping, swiping, or scanning a QR code.
The screen instructs you to get in position for a photo and counts down. It will initially take three photos but you can choose to retake them until you’re happy. Then you select the picture you want on your ID.
The design is created and you get to take a look before it prints (although it’s too late to change your mind). The respective Star Wars costume is automatically added to your picture.
The ID can take up to two minutes to print. Grab it outside the booth. They’re translucent so they look like something straight out of the Star Wars universe and come with a protective cover so make sure to peel that off.
The custom souvenir has led to hours-long lines at Disneyland Resort, leading Disney to install a second booth. Keep this in mind when visiting the Walt Disney World booth, too.
A similar ID experience was also added to Test Track.
