Visit Star Wars Trading Post in Downtown Disney District to get your own “Galactic ID” inspired by different roles in the Star Wars universe.
Star Wars Galactic ID – $15

The IDs are available at a photo booth inside the store. One ID is $15.

Inside the booth, guests select their ID design based on “faction.” Then, you pay by tapping, swiping, or scanning a QR code. After paying, you’ll take three photos. You then pick your favorite to go on the ID or retake the pictures until you get one you love.

The design is created and you get to take a look before it prints (although it’s too late to change your mind). The ID prints outside the machine and can take up to 2 minutes.

There are six designs, which are on display on the outside of the machine. The ID automatically puts your photo into the respective costume. The options are Jedi Knight, TIE Fighter pilot, Stormtrooper, X-Wing pilot, bounty hunter, and New Republic pilot.

The IDs are printed on demand. They’re translucent so they look more like something straight out of the Star Wars universe.

They come with a protective cover so make sure to peel that off.
Note that, at least right now, the wait for this experience can be several hours long. We waited 5 hours. The machine is a permanent addition, according to cast members, and wait times will probably relax in the coming weeks.
The experience comes as Disneyland Resort gets ready to celebrate Star Wars Day on May the 4th. Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge just shifted its timeline, introducing Han Solo, Leia Organa, Luke Skywalker, and Darth Vader to its regular character rotation. Vader made his debut during Disneyland After Dark: Star Wars Nite. Special Star Wars novelties are available at the park. May the 4th dated merchandise will be released on Star Wars Day.
