DreamWorks Land at Universal Studios Florida will see an almost two-month closure of two Kung Fu Panda-themed attractions starting this week.

Upcoming Refurbishment

Both Po's Kung Fu Training Camp and Po Live! will be put under refurbishment starting tomorrow, May 18, 2026. It is expected, according to the Universal refurbishment calendar, that the attraction will be closed through July 3. That means it should reopen for the upcoming July 4 holiday.

Water Bucket

Earlier this spring, in March, we noticed that the giant water bucket had returned to Kung Fu Training Camp after almost a year of being inoperable. Within a year of opening, Kung Fu Training Camp saw several changes and inoperable effects.

One of the bamboo towers below the bucket had been missing since at least April of 2025, and a construction box sat in its place. While the missing bucket had been restored, we noticed that other props had been removed entirely. Laundry used to hang from the horizontal bamboo structure below the bucket. Fans on top of the towers ostensibly dried the laundry. On the other side of the structure, guests could spray water cannons at the laundry.

Kung Fu Training Camp was a reimagining of the Curious George Goes to Town play area, and the water bucket was a reused effect.
