Earlier this Spring, Universal Orlando Resort filed a permit for a “future attraction” at Universal Epic Universe. Shortly after, it was removed, but it’s recently been added again. New details suggest it may be for a new Dark Universe attraction.
New Epic Universe Attraction
Permit #B26901713 was filed back in March for site work:
Mass grading, utility points of connection, and re-routes for early work purposes of a future attraction known as Project 680.
Project 680 is a brand-new project name. Now that it’s been re-published, new permit details reveal that the future building here will be labeled as 1570. Dark Universe buildings are labeled with 15xx numbers.
Universal executives have teased an expansion to Epic Universe — although they avoided the word in official press releases. They have not made any official announcements about a new ride or land. This permit may or may not be for a Dark Universe ride, but this is definitely something to keep an eye on!
Other permits filed for Epic Universe indicate The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic may also receive an expansion.
