Spotlights will illuminate the giant Sorcerer Mickey hat in the reimagined Animation Courtyard at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Crews have also installed a new water fountain / bottle filler station.
Walt Disney Studios Courtyard Construction

The courtyard is being transformed into the Walt Disney Studios, inspired by the real studios in Burbank, California. At the back of the courtyard, guests will walk under a sorcerer hat to enter The Magic of Disney Animation. There are now spotlights behind the “Animation” letters, aimed at the hat for illumination.

We know the hat itself will light up in different patterns but that show may not happen continuously. The spotlights will probably shine on the hat the rest of the time.
The chrome plating that crews started to install a week ago has also seemingly been removed from the marquee.

The new water fountain with bottle refill is located outside the Studio Theater — the new name for the soundstage with “The Little Mermaid – A Musical Adventure.” It’s a free-standing water fountain near a flowerbed yet to be filled with plants.

Right now, it sits in front of construction walls. But these are expected to come down on or around May 26, when the new Disney Jr. “Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Live!” stage show opens.
Disney has not announced an opening date for the new version of The Magic of Disney Animation attraction, but it will be sometime later this summer.
