During a recent visit to Disney’s Hollywood Studios, we spotted additional refurbishment work taking place around the exterior of The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror.

Near the attraction’s exit area, several decorative flags normally attached to the building’s facade have been removed. The empty flagpole mounts are still visible along the upper balcony areas.

Brown scrim has also been installed around portions of the exterior stairways and railings near the exit corridors. The coverings appear to protect sections of the structure while refurbishment work is underway.

Additional scrim can be seen wrapped around parts of the lower archways and support columns beneath the terrace area.

The work appears focused primarily on exterior detailing and facade elements at this time. Despite the ongoing refurbishment, The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror remains open to guests.

The Hollywood Tower Hotel continues to receive periodic refurbishment work as Disney maintains the attraction’s aging exterior and themed architecture.

Earlier this month, refurbishment work also began in the attraction’s outdoor queue, where several column bases were wrapped in construction scrims as crews started restoration efforts in guest areas.
