Walt Disney World has added three more attractions to the lineup of rides available during Disney After Hours events.

In an Instagram announcement from Disney Parks, the change in attraction lineup was described simply with:

“Buckle up 💺 Rock ’n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad and Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin will be part of Disney After Hours at @WaltDisneyWorld ✨”

The additions are notable because all three attractions have recently reopened or been updated at Walt Disney World.

Disney After Hours events are separately ticketed, limited-capacity nighttime events held after regular park closing, giving guests access to select attractions with typically lower wait times. Ice cream novelties, popcorn, and select bottled beverages are also included with event admission.

Rock ’n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets is the newest version of the Disney’s Hollywood Studios coaster, replacing Rock ’n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith. The reimagined attraction officially opened on May 26 and now sends guests racing across Hollywood with Dr. Teeth and The Electric Mayhem.

Big Thunder Mountain Railroad also recently returned from a lengthy refurbishment. The “wildest ride in the wilderness” reopened with significant updates, including new track, refreshed trains, restored and enhanced scenic details, and new show elements throughout. Disney also lowered the attraction’s height requirement to 38 inches following the refurbishment.

Lastly, Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin returned to the Magic Kingdom in April after a multi-month refurbishment. The Tomorrowland attraction received new ride vehicles, updated blasters and scoring displays, a new character named Buddy, refreshed scenes, and an updated on-ride photo experience that now includes guest scores.

Disney After Hours events are offered on select nights at Magic Kingdom, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and EPCOT. Event times vary by park and date, though guests with After Hours tickets are typically allowed to enter the park before the official start of the event.
