Disney Store and Cakeworthy are celebrating 30 years of Muppet Treasure Island with a trio of commemorative items.
“And this is supposed to be a kids movie!”
The 1996 musical adventure cast several Muppets in pirate-era roles, with Kermit the Frog as Captain Smollett, Miss Piggy as Benjamina Gunn, Fozzie Bear as Squire Trelawney, Sam Eagle as Mr. Arrow, and many more Muppets favorites joining the adventure.
Muppet Treasure Island 30th Anniversary Pullover Sweatshirt for Adults by Cakeworthy — $64.99
Cakeworthy’s new adult pullover sweatshirt features a dark heathered look with distressed, vintage-style Muppet Treasure Island artwork on the front.
The front graphic shows Kermit as Captain Smollett, Miss Piggy as Benjamina Gunn, Sam Eagle as Mr. Arrow, and Gonzo and Rizzo.
The back features a large Muppet Treasure Island logo.
Additional anniversary branding appears on the sleeves. One sleeve includes a “Muppet Treasure Island 30” logo, while the other features The Muppets and Cakeworthy logos.
The sweatshirt has a heavyweight knit construction, long sleeves, dropped shoulders, ribbed trim, and a fleece interior. It’s available in adult sizes S through 4XL, and is currently only listed for pre-order.
Muppet Treasure Island 30th Anniversary T-Shirt for Adults by Cakeworthy — $34.99
This white t-shirt features a large front graphic inspired by Muppet Treasure Island. The artwork includes Kermit, Fozzie, Gonzo, and Rizzo, along with the film’s logo.
The back of the shirt features the line, “And this is supposed to be a kids movie!” above another Muppet Treasure Island logo.
The shirt has a heavyweight jersey knit construction, short sleeves, dropped shoulders, a ribbed crew neck, and a boxy, baggy fit. A small The Muppets – Cakeworthy logo label is located near the front hem.
The T-shirt is listed in adult sizes S through 4XL, and like the pullover, it is currently available for pre-order.
Muppet Treasure Island 30th Anniversary Mug — $27.99
Disney Store previously released a Muppet Treasure Island 30th Anniversary Mug, designed to look like a small wooden barrel or pirate tankard. The brown stoneware body features sculpted woodgrain details, with silver-tone bands wrapping around the top and bottom.
One side of the mug includes a raised depiction of Kermit the Frog as Captain Smollett, while the opposite side features the Muppet Treasure Island logo. The handle is also styled like a piece of barrel hardware, continuing the pirate theme around the entire mug.
The bottom of the mug features Rizzo screen art. The mug holds approximately 21 ounces and measures about 5 inches tall by 3 3/4 inches in diameter, or about 6 inches wide including the handle.
Unlike the earlier Cakeworthy tops, this mug is available for purchase now, while supplies last.
All three items are part of the 30th anniversary celebration for Muppet Treasure Island.
