Paving Underway Around Disney Lakeshore Lodge Pools

Aerial photographer @bioreconstruct on X shared a new look at construction of Disney Lakeshore Lodge at Walt Disney World. The Disney Vacation Club resort is being built on the shores of Bay Lake, next to Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort.

Guest parking has been paved in front of the resort. In our last construction update, we got a look at the bus depots from the ground. In bio’s photos, you can see their brown rooftops alongside the parking lot.

A small quiet pool is in the works within one of the resort’s semi-circles. Crews are working on the pavement around the pool. Across the lagoon is a dock, which is now mostly covered in plating.

In the other semi-circle will be The Wetlands recreation area. The lazy river is obvious from above with with two pools nearby. To the right is a multipurpose building close to the lake with large awnings sticking out of three sides.

Landscaping and paving has begun around the lazy river. A yellow arrow added by bioreconstruct in the photo above points at a temporary dirt bridge across the lazy river for equipment to reach the center.

In 2018, Disney announced Reflections – A Disney Lakeside Lodge. However, construction was stalled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The resort was thought to be canceled before Disney resurrected the project as Disney Lakeshore Lodge in 2024.

It will be a fully Disney Vacation Club resort “inspired by the majesty of nature and its enduring influence on Disney artists.”
