Tom Hanks and Conan O’Brien made a surprise appearance at the Disneyland Resort on June 10, 2026, ahead of the release of Pixar Animation Studios’ upcoming film, Toy Story 5.

The costars started their day at Disney California Adventure park to see Woody, Jessie and Buzz Lightyear at Pixar Pier. They posed with the characters dressed in their new accessories in celebration of Toy Story 5.

After, Hanks and O’Brien enjoyed surprising invited Disneyland guests and Toy Story fans at an advanced screening of the new Pixar film at the Theater at Disneyland park. Toy Story 5 arrives in theaters June 19, 2026. Hanks has reprised his role as Woody, and O’Brien is the voice of a new character, Smarty Pants.

There are many ways to celebrate Toy Story year-round at the Disneyland Resort, from family-friendly attractions like Toy Story Midway Mania!, Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters and Jessie’s Critter Carousel, to dining experiences like Alien Pizza Planet and entertainment, including the limited-time “Paint the Night” parade that features Woody, Buzz, Jessie and other beloved Toy Story characters.
