Roof and Façade Work Proceeding on Future ‘Up’ Attraction at Disney Adventure World

The future Up attraction at Disney Adventure World is starting to take shape, and this time, we’re seeing a lot more detail beyond initial structural work.

Construction is progressing on the future Up-inspired attraction at Disney Adventure World in Disneyland Paris, with new photos from DLP Works showing major updates to the ride building, roofline, and surrounding work zone.

The new attraction, now known as Wilderness Explorers Sky Swings, is under construction near the end of Adventure Way, the promenade leading toward Adventure Bay. The ride is inspired by Pixar’s Up and will be a swing-style attraction, as previewed in the initial concept art.

Earlier this year, aerial photos showed the attraction site in a much earlier state, with support structures and foundational elements beginning to take shape. In these latest photos, the project has clearly advanced, with much of the main structure now enclosed by scaffolding and a large portion of the roof covered in fresh wooden framework.

One of the most noticeable changes is the expanded construction zone along Adventure Way. The blue construction walls surrounding the site have been repositioned, giving crews more room to work around the future attraction. The walls are decorated with themed panels referencing Adventure Way, World of Frozen, and Pixar, keeping the area dressed while construction continues behind them.

Beyond the walls, the roof has received most of its wooden framework. The bright yellow wood decking now spans across much of the main building, making the attraction’s footprint and roofline much easier to see from guest areas and elevated viewpoints. In several photos, the structure stretches across the site with scaffolding wrapping the façades below.

Façade work is also underway. Insulation and protective coverings can be seen on portions of the exterior, while some wall sections remain exposed. The building includes several arched openings and rounded corner structures.

The recently installed domes are another major visual update. Several rounded dome elements are now visible above the corner structures, surrounded by metal panels, scaffolding, and white protective tarps. These domes add height and personality to the otherwise low, horizontal building, and they appear to be key architectural features of the future attraction.

Closer views show crews working around the domed elements and along the roofline. The domes are still largely protected, so their final themed appearance remains hidden for now. However, their placement gives the structure a more defined silhouette than in previous construction updates.

Wider photos also show the Up attraction in context with the rest of Disney Adventure World’s ongoing transformation. Multiple tower cranes are visible in the background, with additional construction continuing around Adventure Bay and beyond.

The larger Disney Adventure World expansion includes Adventure Way, World of Frozen, and future projects, including The Lion King-themed land.

The future Up ride will be one of the family-focused offerings along Adventure Way, joining other experiences designed to fill out the route between the front of the park and the new lake area.

Wilderness Explorers Sky Swings is expected to open in 2027 at Disney Adventure World.
