Work Progresses on ‘Up’ Ride and ‘Lion King’ Land at Disneyland Paris

New aerial photos by DLP Works show ongoing construction of the Up attraction and The Lion King land in Disney Adventure World. Currently Walt Disney Studios Park, the Disneyland Paris park is about to be renamed with the opening of World of Frozen.

Disney Adventure World Construction

Photos taken on March 11 show The Lion King construction site along the new Adventure Bay lake. Foundations in the new land are largely complete and vertical construction has begun to the south. The main attraction will be a flume ride similar to Tiana’s Bayou Adventure / Splash Mountain.

An empty expansion pad is between The Lion King area and the completed World of Frozen.

The Up attraction, meanwhile, is under construction near the end of Adventure Way, the road leading to the lake. Support buildings and structural elements are in the works, reflecting concept art for the ride. The attraction will be a swing ride.

Disney Adventure World will officially open on March 29.
