Walt Disney Imagineering filed another round of construction permits for the brand-new Tropical Americas land under construction at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Tropical Americas replaces DinoLand U.S.A.

The six notices contract Whiting-Turner, which is also working on the Encanto ride in the land. Here are the addresses and locations:

All are for “General Construction” and were filed on June 2, 2026. They expire in one year. The listed buildings and structures will be re-themed rather than demolished. We know Restaurantosaurus will be a hacienda restaurant.

Nine electrical work permits for the area were filed back in April.

Tropical Americas is set to open in 2027 and will consist of the fictional village of Pueblo Esperanza, featuring a new carousel, an “Encanto” ride and DINOSAUR is being reimagined to an Indiana Jones ride. There will also be a new playground added to the land. Check out our most recent Tropical Americas construction updates.
