Universal Studios will be previewing Hollywood Horror Nights 2026 offerings at the upcoming Midsummer Scream convention in California.
2026 Midsummer Scream

Midsummer Scream is the world’s largest Halloween and horror convention. Located at the Long Beach Convention Center in California, the convention runs from August 7 through 9, 2026. Tickets can be purchased on the official Midsummer Scream website.
This year, Universal notes that they are going bigger than ever, including an expanded footprint at the front of the show floor. As is typical for years past, a panel focusing on Universal Studios Hollywood’s Halloween Horror Nights will be hosted by executive producer John Murdy. Other offerings include:
- First look at varied merchandise, including Universal Monsters and Halloween II
- Early-release merchandise available first at Midsummer Scream
- Complimentary artist signings of Midsummer Scream exclusive prints
- Character meet-and-greets
- Behind-the-scenes panel on the creative process of Universal’s collaborations
- Photo opportunities inspired by this year’s Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios Hollywood
- An experience in the Hall of Shadows featuring the icons of Las Vegas’ Universal Horror Unleashed

Halloween Horror Nights 2026 starts September 3 at Universal Studios Hollywood, while Universal Orlando Resort’s version begins on August 28. Tickets are available now. Speculation maps for the themed experiences have been released, with Sinners being the first official confirmation.
