Construction on the new Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort entrance began in May 2025, and work continues at the resort, on Floridian Way, and on Seven Seas Drive. In front of the Polynesian Resort, we have spotted new black and white unthemed signage on Seven Seas Drive.

This unthemed sign in front of the Polynesian guard shack directs drivers to turn right to reach golf courses, Shades of Green, Grand Floridian, and the Wedding Pavilion.

Ongoing refurbishment around Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort.

The above photo is from December 2, 2025, by @bioreconstruct and shows the scope of work being done to the Polynesian parking area, as well as Floridian Way and Seven Seas Drive.

Since the photo above was taken, the new guard house was completed on December 17, and the new roadway entrance to Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort opened on December 18. The old entrance will become the new bus entrance. The bus stop is now finished, but still not open; buses are dropping off at the Great Ceremonial House’s porte cochere.

The new bus stop is complete but still not open. The resort’s dock was also recently refurbished and has now reopened.

What do you think of these new signs? Should they still be themed? Let us know on social media.
