Soar across America and more this upcoming Independence Day weekend as Walt Disney World and Disneyland celebrate the country’s 250th birthday.

The temporary version of Soarin’ takes guests over famous U.S.A. locations and monuments like the Statue of Liberty at New York City, the National Mall in Washington, D.C., and Griffith Observatory in Los Angeles.

4th of July at Walt Disney World

Enjoy the annual "Disney's Celebrate America! – A Fourth of July Concert in the Sky" fireworks show at Magic Kingdom at 9 p.m. on July 3, 4, and 5. “Happily Ever After” will not be performed on these dates.

Magic Kingdom also has patriotic decor along Main Street, U.S.A. Patriotic activities include flag retreat ceremonies, Dapper Dans performances, and Main Street Philharmonic performances.

The daily Electrical Water Pageant on Seven Seas Lagoon, visible from outside Magic Kingdom and at nearby resorts, features a patriotic section.

At EPCOT, the "Heartbeat of Freedom" fireworks finale will follow "Luminous The Symphony of Us" at 9 p.m. on July 3, 4, and 5.

There will also be patriotic lighting on Spaceship Earth in the evenings, and special performances from Voices of Liberty July 3 – 5. Exclusive echo set performances will be on July 4.

The Portraits of Courage exhibit honoring post-9/11 veterans has been extended through Fourth of July weekend.

Disney teased special character experiences, which usually includes Mickey and Friends in their Spirit of ’76 costumes at The American Adventure.

Disney Springs also has festive decor and special performances from the United States Air Force Band of the West on July 3 and 4.

Just announced, there will be a flyover by the U.S. Air Force Reserve’s 920th Rescue Wing from Patrick Space Force Base over Magic Kingdom and EPCOT beginning at 10:30 a.m. on July 4 (weather permitting).

Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin have special activities planned. Other Walt Disney World resorts may offer special activities. Check at your resort’s lobby for information.

4th of July at Disneyland Resort

Disneyland castle, unlike the taller Cinderella Castle in Walt Disney World, glows in red, white, and blue as fireworks light up the night.

Disneyland will also perform “Disney’s Celebrate America! – A Fourth of July Concert in the Sky” at 9:35 p.m. on July 3, 4, and 5.

The Dapper Dans don patriotic attire and there will be military band performances across the resort through July 5. A celebratory cavalcade honoring America will be at select times from July 3 through 5.

Special flag retreat ceremonies will honor veterans.

Main Street, U.S.A. in Disneyland Park and Buena Vista Street in Disney California Adventure are both decorated for the celebration.

Limited-time merchandise, Sam Eagle merchandise, the Sam Eagle popcorn bucket, and special menu items are available throughout the resort.
