Disney Springs has big crowds and long lines of guests trying to grab the Lorcana Curator’s Collection: Heroines Edition and the Disney Lorcana Attack of the Vine set, which are both releasing today, July 17.

Disney Springs recently put in some new measures to help with large merchandise releases.

Lorcana Releases

With these new releases, guests hoping to purchase some Lorcana merchandise began queuing in the early hours of the morning. Vehicles reportedly line up at the secondary entrance to the Lime garage and were backed up to Saratoga Springs Resort.

During our visit to Disney Springs today, July 17, we were met with a long line of guests in the Lime garage. Barricades were in place to keep pedestrians in the perimeter of the garage. The line essentially wrapped around most of the garage but was progressing before 10:00 a.m.

Police vehicles also blocked off some of the parking areas.

We joined the back of the line and noticed a lot of leftover trash and camping equipment left in the garage as we made our way out of the garage.

The escalator was blocked and turned off for safety purposes. We did learn that the guests in the Orange garage were reportedly let into Disney Springs before the Lime garage guests, which upset those in the Lime garage.

Once we made it to World of Disney, we noticed the side entrance was closed and guests could only enter through the main entrance.

The queue to get into the store overflowed into the surrounding area at Disney Springs, including the construction walls for Ghirardelli and down by Goofy’s Candy Co. and Rainforest Cafe. Guests at the back of the line were told nothing would likely be available by the time they made it to the front.

Inside, the queue appeared organized (albeit very long) as guests made their way to the cashiers, where Cast Members were distributing the merchandise. Other guests are being accommodated at the other check out on the other side of the store.

At 11:00 a.m. we learned that the Illumineer’s Trove and Heroine set both had very low stock. The Mike/Sulley Playmat and Exclusive Foil-Pooh Playmat sold out, along with the Booster Pack Tray, but they still have some of the individual Booster Packs.

Update 11:30 a.m.: Everything is sold out except for the Heroine set.

Other locations are also experiencing similar (or worse) issues. Following disruption outside the Oxford Street Disney Store in London overnight, the store was forced to close and cancel the release planned. Downtown Disney at Disneyland Resort has has a large crowd of guests hoping to grab some Lorcana merch, and DLP Report posted that the World of Disney location at Disneyland Paris was also experiencing a long queue of guests:
