During a visit to EPCOT on July 14, we noticed that a large section of river rocks had been restored to the World Celebration reflecting pool, which is currently under refurbishment.
Reflecting Pool

The reflecting pool draining/refurbishment began in mid-June when we saw the water taken out and river rocks piled together throughout the area. The affected area is the body of water between the Imagination Pavilion and the Land Pavilion closest to CommuniCore Plaza.

The rocks have been filled in where the bottom of the reflecting pool was recently repainted. There is a line of rocks along the bottom of the pool (as seen in the left photo above) which we presume indicates an area that may need to be repainted. All coins that were mixed in with the rocks have also been removed.
Guests love to toss coins into the water and make wishes, as seen above. Coins from Cinderella’s Wishing Well at Magic Kingdom and other fountains and waterways throughout Walt Disney World—including this one—are collected periodically and donated to Make-A-Wish and Give Kids The World Village. These coins will likely be removed.
Back in 2022, Disney donated $30,000. Disney will likely have another large dollar amount to give soon now that this reflecting pool has been drained.
This is what the reflecting pool usually looks like:

Meanwhile, the reflecting pool nearest to the Imagination Pavilion is noticeably very green.
