Shrek’s Swamp for Little Ogres, a playground in DreamWorks Land at Universal Studios Florida, is currently closed. Construction walls are up around the area, and signs advising of “set enhancements” (Universal’s default sign phrasing) are posted, but the attraction is not listed on the refurbishment calendar.

Construction walls and scrim surround the “swamp,” except for one fake tree and a bridge over a walkway. These are inaccessible, however.

Usually, young guests can enjoy slides, a playground, and wet play areas in Shrek’s Swamp. Shrek’s famous outhouse is the entrance to one of four slides.

Over the scrim, we could see Pinocchio in his Fact Shack. When the play area is open, guests can interact with the Pinocchio animatronic by ringing a bell.

The walls continue around some Trolls-themed elements next to the Trolls Trollercoaster. The roller-coaster and the nearby Shrek and Donkey meet and greet remain open.

We don’t know how long the refurbishment is planned for or the exact nature of the work.

Shrek’s Swamp for Little Ogres opened just five months ago as part of the park’s new DreamWorks Land, which replaced Woody Woodpecker’s KidZone. The land also includes an interactive King Harold play area and “Shrek”-themed food at Swamp Snacks. Check out our full tour of DreamWorks Land.
