Walt Disney World has announced an update regarding a reopening timeline following Hurricane Milton.
Walt Disney World Reopening After Hurricane Milton
The following update was shared on the Walt Disney World website:
We’re grateful Walt Disney World Resort weathered the storm, and we are currently assessing the impacts to our property to prepare for reopening the theme parks, Disney Springs and possibly other areas on Friday, October 11. Our hearts are with our fellow Floridians who were impacted by this storm.
At this time, Walt Disney World Resort remains closed due to Hurricane Milton. This closure includes all four theme parks, Disney Springs, the Disney Springs parking garages, Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon water park, and the two miniature golf courses. Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party has been cancelled for October 10. Event tickets will be refunded.
Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground and the Treehouse Villas at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa remain temporarily closed. Disney advises guests to continue to check back for updates regarding a reopening timeline.
Partially used multi-day tickets will have their expiration dates adjusted to expire on October 11, 2025.
Select dining locations are still under operation for guests staying in Disney Resort hotels. Guests can check the My Disney Experience app for the latest updates.
Walt Disney World transportation and the Minnie Van service are temporarily unavailable. A return date for service has not been given.
