PHOTO REPORT: EPCOT 12/10/2024 (Pin Tuesday, Fun Finds, and Tiny Village Drama)

Howdy! Today was a beautiful day at EPCOT. New pins and 2025 merchandise were available, and the tiny village drama continued to unfold despite the infestation of small dinosaurs.

Good Morning from EPCOT

People walk near Spaceship Earth at Epcot, with an American flag on the left. The sky is blue with scattered clouds.

Good morning from an already busy EPCOT. I arrived with plenty of time to spare before the park opened at 9 a.m. so I decided to ride the monorail before diving into the holiday crowds.

EPCOT Monorail Lime Roundtrip

A green and white monorail train approaches a station platform under a translucent roof.

There is something serene about an EPCOT monorail ride in the morning. Usually, I have an entire cabin to myself because there is rarely anyone looking to ride first thing in the morning to the TTC, the Transportation and Ticket Center.

Test Track Refurbishment Update

Construction site with workers on a cherry picker near a large building, smoke visible from the work area, under a partly cloudy sky.

On the ride back to EPCOT from the TTC I noticed construction workers were already busy at Test Track. It appears the man in the lift is welding joints in the awning above the entrance of Test Track. Stay tuned to our website for updates when more progress is made.

Pin Tuesday

A collection of Disney pins featuring various characters, held by a person with bright pink nails.

At Pin Traders in EPCOT, there are some new limited edition pins as well as a new mystery pin set featuring characters from ‘The Lion King’.

  • Character Scoops – 101 Dalmations
    • Limited Edition Series of 4000
    • $19.99
  • Spring Rides – Darkwing Duck
    • Limited Edition Series of 4000
    • $19.99
  • It’s Showtime Posters – The Triton Sisters
    • Limited Edition Series of 3000
    • $19.99
  • Mystery Pin Set – ‘The Lion King’
    • Full Collection of 8 Pins
    • 2 Random Pins from the Set Per Box
    • $22.99

I am a huge fan of ‘The Little Mermaid’ so the Showtime Poster pin from this month is my favorite release from this week.

Film Crew Spotted

Group of people standing in an outdoor area surrounded by trees and equipment carts.

When I was walking to Creation Shop I noticed a small production crew working in Celebration Garden. It wasn’t long until they left, so whatever they were shooting must have been fairly quick.

Stitch Attacks Snacks – Hot Cocoa

Plush toys and collectible pins featuring characters from Disney's "Lilo & Stitch," with a snack-themed design, displayed in a store.

In Creation Shop in EPCOT, I found the final Stitch and Angel plush from the Stitch Attacks Snacks collection from this year. Each plush is available for $34.99.

I found the pins in Pin Traders at the entrance with the other pins above. This pin set is available for $34.99.

More 2025 Merchandise

Collage of Disney merchandise featuring a themed box, plush toy, and backpack, all showcasing 2025 designs with colorful graphics and characters.

I found even more 2025 merchandise today all over EPCOT. I found the 2025 photo album in Pin Traders at the entrance. The 2025 Mickey Mouse plush was in Gateway Gifts opposite of Pin Traders.

Finally I found a normal size backpack in World Traveler, the back entrance of EPCOT, also featuring the 2025 design. I am a fan of this collection more than the 2024 collection.

Purple Martins Homes

A man walks along a pathway by a black fence, with white posts and trees in the background under a clear blue sky.

It would appear the the Purple Martin homes have been put back and ready for new inhabitants. This is a really cool project Disney does studying the habits of Purple Martins.

The Seas – Clownfish & Anemonies Tank

Aquarium display of clownfish swimming among anemones and coral, with a decorative cylindrical structure in the center.

In The Seas nursery area the Clownfish and Anemones have hung their stockings with care on a newly displayed fireplace. If you look closely you can see two tiny Santa feet diving in to deliver the good little clownfish toys.

Tiny Village Drama

Four miniature buildings are surrounded by plants and mulch. The structures include a church, two houses, and a blue-roofed building with a red door.

In the Germany pavilion the tiny village has been totally overun with tiny dinosaurs. Maybe they are displaced from Disney’s Animal Kingdom given the current impending extinction of Dinoland.

The villagers seem unphased as the drama continues to unfold in the tiny town.

A collage of miniature model scenes: houses, a lighthouse, a tractor with workers, and people sitting surrounded by greenery.

Our tiniest friend still holds strong to her hankerchief and teddy bear, even with a tiny dino at the base of the tower. The fallen roofs have been repaired. Men are hard at work near a tractor, an older woman sits at her stoop, and a young couple share a moment in the mountains.

There isn’t much in this sleepy village today other than the total takeover by the tiny dino population.

The Doorknob from ‘Alice in Wonderland’ – $1,300

A decorative doorknob from "Alice in Wonderland" displayed on a shelf, priced at $99.00.

In the America Pavilion a replica Doorknob from ‘Alice in Wonderland’ is available for $1,300. The artist, Jason Peltz, is local to the area according to the Cast Member. It is a really cool piece and I could see it being a fun addition to anyone’s home.

Precious Moments – Linda Rick

Display of the Precious Moments Doll Collection with a sign featuring Linda Rick at Epcot. Shelves with dolls are visible in the background.

Precious Moments sculptor, artist, and designer Linda Rick will be visiting EPCOT every Friday, Saturday, or Sunday to sign your collector doll. We do not know how long this will continue.

Have you collected any dolls from Precious Moments? I don’t currently have any, but I certainly have family that do collect these sweet little dolls.

100 Acre Hunny Club Jacket – $149.99

Denim and yellow jacket with "100 Acre Hunny Club" and "Pooh" text, featuring cartoon designs of bears and bees on the front, back, and sleeves. Displayed in a store.

In the United Kingdom Pavilion at The Toy Solider store a new Pooh jacket caught my eye. The embroidery work is really well done. Be sure to stay tuned to our website for a more detailed look at the varisty jacket. If you aren’t able to make it out to EPCOT, the jacket is also available online at DisneyStore.com.

Deck The Halls Hoodie – $85.00

Green hoodie with "Deck the Halls" and a crest featuring reindeer and candy canes on display in a store. Nearby, a green shirt with part of a word showing and a gray jacket are visible.

In Crest and Crown in the United Kingdom Pavilion they were selling this coat of arms on a hoodie featuring two red nosed reindeers, two candy canes, a Christmas tree, and a small wrapped gift. The embroidery was beautiful and the hoodie felt very soft inside.

Canada Construction Continues

A large stone building with turrets and a steep roof stands behind rocks. A wooden structure with ladders is in front. The sky is partly cloudy.

The back of Canada Pavilion’s upper level is still under construction with no intel on what they may be working toward. It would appear that there is now an awning of sorts over two windows potentionally. There are some rumors that they are trying to open a booth or store up here, but that is just internet gossip.

Celebration Garden

A large geodesic sphere in a theme park setting, with people walking around and trees in the background under a clear blue sky.

I hope you enjoyed some of the highlights from the day in EPCOT. For the holidays it really wasn’t too crowded after the morning crowd dispersed. I hope you have a beautiful day like this in your near future.

What was your favorite moment from my day in EPCOT? I enjoyed seeing the havoc and chaos of the tiny village today.
