New 'Olu Mel Merchandise Including Spirit Jersey, Mug, and Ornament Arrive at Walt Disney World

One of the only places in Walt Disney World where guests can find Aulani-branded merchandise is BouTiki at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, and we just found this new ‘Olu Mel merchandise fresh from Hawaii.

Aulani Spirit Jersey – $90

A light blue Aulani Spirit Jersey with a cartoon character hangs on display, surrounded by tropical-themed decorations. A small sign advises guests to see a cast member for assistance, adding to the whimsical charm of this Olu Mel merchandise.

This new Spirit Jersey is a white-to-blue ombre color. A small Aulani logo is placed on the right chest, along with a circular image of ‘Olu Mel’s head.

The friendly turtle is also seen on the back of the jersey. ‘Olu Mel stands on a beach blanket playing his ukulele. His surroundings include a beach ball, palm fronds, and white flowers. Text on the shoulders of the jersey has his name and calls him “A Disney friend of Duffy.”

Ornament – $25

This ornament shows ‘Olu Mel snorkeling under the water. The turtle smiles and waves at a nearby orange fish. The ornament comes with a blue ribbon for hanging it to display.

The ornament is 3D, as ‘Olu Mel and his fish friend stick out from the blue background. The fish looks like a Humuhumunukunukuapua’a, also known as a Reef Triggerfish, which is the state fish of Hawaii.

Aulani Adult Grey Shirt – $40

A t-shirt featuring a cartoon bird wearing a hat and holding a flower, reminiscent of Olu Mel Merchandise, is displayed on a shelf alongside assorted items that evoke the whimsy of Walt Disney World.

This grey shirt has the official Aulani logo and wordmark printed on the left chest. ‘Olu Mel is pictured wearing a straw hat and sitting to drink from a fresh coconut. The back of this shirt is plain.

Mug – $28

If you can’t get enough of ‘Olu Mel’s smiling face, you might also want this new mug. The mug is shaped like the happy turtle’s head in light green.

Button-Down Adult Shirt – $75

A Green Hawaiian shirt with a cartoon turtle pattern, reminiscent of Olu Mel Merchandise, hangs on a rack. Nearby is a blue shirt and a small decorative ukulele, creating a vibrant display that might remind you of Walt Disney World.

This adult button-down shirt is a bright teal blue. The pattern shows ‘Olu Mel in various poses similar to several of the other items, such as the snorkeling pose with the fish from the ornament. The remaining space is filled with more green leaves, white flowers, and orange triangles.

Ukulele – $50

A colorful ukulele with a tropical design featuring cartoon characters, displayed on a stand as part of the Olu Mel Merchandise collection. A sign reads, "Please see cast member for assistance," giving it that special touch reminiscent of Walt Disney World magic.

The final new item is this wooden ukulele with a colorful design of ‘Olu Mel standing on the beach. Green leaves decorate the rest of the ukulele.

‘Olu Mel is a musical turtle and a friend of Duffy the Disney Bear. After being originally introduced at Aulani, A Disney Resort and Spa in 2018 as simply ‘Olu, he was renamed in 2020. ‘Olu Mel is also commonly used like a mascot for Aulani and appears on several pieces of the resort’s merchandise. The turtle is also often found on merchandise collections featuring Duffy and his friends at Tokyo Disney Resort and Shanghai Disneyland, such as this upcoming collection celebrating 20 years of Duffy.
