The special event, called “We Love Big Band Beat,” will run through September 30, the final day of performances. It will be celebrated throughout the New York Harbor of the American Waterfront at Tokyo DisneySea. Tokyo Disney Resort did not announce more details of the celebration, but it will likely feature special merchandise, food, and decorations.

“Big Band Beat” opened at the Broadway Music Theatre in Tokyo DisneySea on July 14, 2006, as part of the park’s 5th anniversary celebration. The show sees Mickey Mouse and friends perform songs like “It Don’t Mean A Thing” and “The Lady is a Tramp” with a live big band.

An updated version opened in 2021, after the pandemic-related closure, titled “Big Band Beat: A Special Treat.” Donald Duck was added to the show and the characters were given more dialogue. There has also been a Christmas version of the show at both Tokyo DisneySea and Disneyland Paris.
