Visitors are gathering near the newly completed section of the Magic Kingdom, where signs on the barrier read "New Frontier." Trees and wooden buildings form an enchanting backdrop, promising exciting additions for Disney Vacation Club members to explore.

Construction Almost Complete on New Disney Vacation Club Lounge at Magic Kingdom

Construction work is nearing completion on the facade of Disney Vacation Club McKim’s Mile House – A Member Lounge at Magic Kingdom. Most construction materials and scrim are gone from the Frontierland site.

Magic Kingdom DVC Lounge Construction

The new lounge replaces Frontierland Shootin’ Arcade, which closed permanently last June. The pre-existing DVC kiosk next to the future lounge also closed for construction this January. There was previously scrim atop the kiosk’s roof, but that has been removed.

People gather near construction walls in front of log cabin-style buildings at a theme park. Tall trees offer shade, while a blue umbrella stands in the foreground. Visitors eagerly anticipate the new Magic Kingdom lounge construction hidden behind those walls.

The facade of the lounge appears complete. Where guests could previously line up to shoot in the arcade, there are now wood walls and windows.

A charming wooden cabin with a shingle roof peeks out from behind brown barricades, evoking the enchanting atmosphere of the Magic Kingdom. Lush green leaves elegantly frame the top, creating a scenic entryway to this delightful hideaway.

There is a bay window jutting out of the building. A log railing runs across the porch. When we looked at construction in February, there was still tape and tarps around the windows.

A log cabin with a shingled roof and small window sits quietly, partially obscured by a towering pine tree. A lamp hangs near the corner, adding a touch of rustic charm reminiscent of the Magic Kingdom's enchanted spirit.

A series of planks on the building’s overhang may eventually hold the lounge’s new sign. Disney filed a permit for signage over a month ago.

People strolling in front of a stone and wood building under construction, perfectly nestled amidst lush greenery, evoke the same wonder you’d find at the Magic Kingdom.

Some prop crates on a balcony are tagged with blue tape.

Wooden crates and a vintage lamp sit against a stone wall, with a metal tool hanging above, evoking the charm of Magic Kingdom's enchanting aesthetics.

The tape reads “take” and “take me,” indicating crew members are supposed to remove these props eventually.

A rustic wooden building and a fort-like structure with a log fence invite you to relax in the serene lounge area, enveloped by lush greenery and crowned by a clear blue sky—a scene reminiscent of the Magic Kingdom.

We might have found the wall featuring the mural Disney Vacation Club teased. This light stone wall is visible beyond scrim behind the DVC kiosk.

Disney Vacation Club McKim’s Mile House — A Member Lounge is named after Disney Legend Sam McKim, who created inspirational sketches for Disneyland, including Frontierland’s Slue Foot Sue’s Golden Horseshoe Revue. The lounge will open this summer.
