The fan-favorite Paint the Night Electrical Parade has returned at Disneyland for the second round of 70th anniversary celebrations.
Tinkerbell and Friends

The parade opens with its famous drum float, which has been updated to feature the 70th anniversary logo. Characters in this unit include Peter Pan, Tinker Bell, Rosetta, Silvermist, and Iridessa.

Rosetta has a brand new costume with design changes. Light up wings also returned for many performers.

Tink’s costume was brand new when the parade returned last year.
Monsters Inc. Dance Party

Sulley and Mike from Monsters, Inc. dance on the next float, which features spinning doors.
Cars Electric Roadway Jam

Lightning McQueen leads the Cars Electric Roadway Jam unit. The performers also received updated costumes.

He’s followed by dancers and Mack, who has giant LED screens on his sides.

DJ returned with slight alterations after being missing from the last several performances before the holidays.
The Little Mermaid Electric Watercolors

The coral performer costume has slight design alterations, as well. The dancers lead Ariel at the front of The Little Mermaid Electric Watercolors float.

Ariel’s wig no longer lights up, but Flounder and a large figure of King Triton holding Sebastian remain behind her.
Toy Story Electric Rodeo

Jessie from the Toy Story films is with cowgirl dancers at the start of the Toy Story Electric Rodeo unit. The cowgirls have new costumes.

Woody and Buzz are on a Slinky Dog float behind them.

The little green aliens have their own spinning spaceship float.
Candlelight Dreams

Belle, Rapunzel, and Cinderella appear in the Candlelight Dreams unit. They’re accompanied by dove dancers who have brand new costumes for the return.

Bell’s crown has lights for the first time since 2018.

The rest of the unit remains the same.
Frozen Fractals

Next is the Frozen Fractals unit, returning again from 2017. It was not in the 2018 version of the parade, instead replaced by an Incredibles float.

Anna and Elsa are in a float inspired by Elsa’s ice palace.

Olaf is among the snowy trees on the back of the float. No major changes were made to this float.
Mickey and Friends Lighttastic Finale

The final unit is Mickey’s Lightastic Finale.

Minnie, Goofy, and Donald are on small individual floats.

Mickey is on the last float featuring an array of colors. The parade features the song “When Can I See You Again?” by Owl City.

Mickey’s costume is the same, but it does appear to be new.

Paint the Night Electrical Parade premiered at Disneyland Park in 2015 for the resort’s 60th anniversary. It was based on a parade that premiered at Hong Kong Disneyland in 2014 and ended in 2020.
Paint the Night’s original Disneyland run ended in 2017, but it performed at Disney California Adventure throughout 2018. It returned with some updates in May 2025 for the park’s 70th anniversary.
Fridays through Sundays, the parade will run twice nightly at 8:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. It will perform at just 8:30 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays. Excluding special events, it will run seven days a week.
