REVIEW: PizzeRizzo Re-Opens at Disney’s Hollywood Studios with New Peanut Butter & Jelly Verrine

Last month we brought you the news that PizzeRizzo would be re-opening May 4th at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and today is the long-awaited day! The restaurant has officially re-opened, and we spotted an all-new Peanut Butter and Jelly Verrine on the menu.

The verrine joins a growing list of flavored verrines around Hollywood Studios, such as the key lime verrine from Backlot Express, and the Tres Leches verrine from Fairfax Fare.

The Peanut Butter and Jelly verrine is $4.99 and comes with a reasonable portion. There’s a layer of jelly at both the bottom and the top, with a crunchy peanut butter middle. The peanut butter reminds of a Reese’s peanut butter cup filling.

The top of the verrine has small peanut butter pieces to add to the presentation and texture.

Overall the Peanut Butter and Jelly Verrine isn’t competing with 50’s Prime Time Cafe’s Peanut Butter and Jelly Milkshake any time soon, and I don’t really see PBJ food items going well with your PizzaRizzo pizza. It works well as a standalone snack perhaps, but maybe stick with the classic Cannoli for desert if you’re eating a whole lunch here (for some reason).
