There’s a lot happening right now at Tokyo Disney Resort! Just over a month ago, we opened Soaring: Fantastic Flight at Tokyo DisneySea! A couple of weeks ago, both parks had their plans for “Disney Christmas” unveiled as well! And on my last trip through the Disney Ambassador Hotel, I spotted something I’d not seen before! There’s an all-new “Chip ‘n’ Dale’s Playground” exclusively for hotel guests!
In the space formerly occupied by the “Hana” restaurant (which closed on January 6th), we now see this a-door-able door! How about we go in?
Right off the bat, we can see these adorable decorations themed to the forest. I love the murals on the walls!
The mushroom chairs (with a nice toadstool table in the center) are a neat thematic touch.
The rules are given in both English and Japanese. Seems pretty reasonable.
They’re playing classic Disney shorts on the TV in the corner (spot the acorn lamp, too). Chip ‘n’ Dale shorts primarily, of course.
Love all the wall murals in the second area as well!
The cloud lights are also a nice thematic touch! They really didn’t have to go the extra mile with things like this, but they did because the Oriental Land Company pays attention even to the little things.
There’s a big tree structure dividing the “playground”. Inside is a lovely reading nook with cute little leaf and acorn-shaped pillows!
And where they do they get their books? From little bookshelves, of course! Those bookshelves have little seats on them too (but they were in use by some intrepid kiddos). As for older forest adventurers, there’s some free newspapers for them to browse as well!
I think the Chip ‘n’ Dale’s Playground looks really nice! If I were a kid, I would absolutely want to cool off from a hot day in the parks in here! Do you want to bring your kids here? Let us know in the comments below or on Twitter!

This is awesome, I really love the design! However, Walt Disney Imagineering would have designed that room. The licensing agreement leaves anything design-related to Disney and its Imagineers. They even have a field office at the administrative building there.
