Photos of Menu Items for American Holiday Table at the EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays
Slow-roasted Turkey with Stuffing, Mashed Potatoes, Green Beans and Cranberry Sauce – $6.25
Served with stuffing, mashed potatoes, green beans and cranberry sauce, this is classic American holiday food and tastes great when combined into a single bite. The cranberry was especially prominent without being overpowering.
Blackened Catfish with Hoppin’ John and Comeback Sauce – $6.75
This was almost like a play on white beans and rice. The beans are smaller and didn’t taste like they were cooked thoroughly as the they were slightly tough. The Cajun flavors are there and the catfish was cooked just fine, while the comeback sauce is a Cajun-spiced sauce with a lot of butter, or at least it tastes like it uses a lot. It’s a decent, hearty dish, and very flavorful.
Gingerbread Cookie – $3.00
This is the worst cookie we’ve eaten so far. It’s thick, there’s no gingerbread spice, and it tastes rather stale. We get some notes of vanilla but that’s really it. Skip this and get some other cookies for the Holiday Cookie Stroll.
*NEW* Crooked Can Brewing Company Bah HOPbug IPA, Winter Garden, FL (5.4% ABV) – $5.75 for 6 oz., $9.75 for 12 oz.
From correspondence with Crooked Can Brewing Company, this beer is exclusive to the festival. “It is an American style IPA with vanilla, cranberry & rosemary. It is 38 IBUS and comes in at 5.4% ABV. It is a sessionable IPA with toasted bread notes from the grain and juicy hops to balance the sweetness of the cranberry and vanilla.”
3 Daughters Brewing Eggnog White Porter, St. Petersburg, FL (6.0% ABV) – $5.75 for 6 oz., $9.75 for 12 oz.
From correspondence with 3 Daughters Brewing: “A beer brewed for sunny Florida winters, the Egg Nog Porter brings an easy-drinking vibe to the seasonal treat. Full of smooth, rich chocolate and coffee flavors, this white porter maintains a lighter body while still blanketing the taste buds in holiday cheer.”
Playalinda Brewing Co. Peppermint Chocolate Stout, Titusville, FL (5.3% ABV) – $5.75 for 6 oz., $9.75 for 12 oz.
This Peppermint Chocolate Stout is very rich, and you can definitely taste the chocolate. The peppermint taste gets a little lost, but it’s very aromatic.
