Bright suns from Disney’s Hollywood Studios! It was a rough morning for boarding groups today. Due to a glitch in the My Disney Experience app, boarding groups were distributed to people outside the park, making it even more difficult. Boarding groups were gone in less than a minute, and the eerie silence and random crying guests made for an interesting start to our day.
Usually we hear a lot more excited cheering, but this crowd was full of panicked and confused faces.
Thankfully, Slinky Dog Dash only had a 130 minute wait. The line extended all the way to Animation Courtyard.
While in Animation Courtyard, we also noticed some of the signs on the walls were missing. We noticed an Imagineer pointing to certain places on the walls, so we’ll be keeping an eye on this area for changes.
The new Mickey Shorts Theater is getting ready for grand opening. More new signs have been added along the roof.
A new Gabby Gabby plush from Toy Story 4 can be found in Beverly Sunset.
It’s almost like looking in a mirror!
There’s also a set of Minnie and Mickey lanyards with ID pouches. They’re $12.99 each and available from Sunset Ranch Pins and Souvenirs.
Well, that’s about all for today. Thanks for joining us around Disney’s Hollywood Studios and we’ll see you next time!
Yep, I was there today. We have been saving up for almost 3 years in order to come to Disney World, and this park was the number 1 pick for Rise of the Resistance. We got boarding group 80, and were notified at the end of the day that we wouldn’t be riding. We were given a park ticket for tomorrow, as well as a fast pass, but we were only in that park for one day. When I spoke with Guest Relations, I was told, “well that park pass is good for 2 years.” Upon telling them that we wouldn’t be able to afford to come back within 2 years I was given a “sorry” and that was all. This week has by far been my worst trip to Disney World.
