Hello from a slightly chilly, but overall beautiful day here at the Magic Kingdom! We were ready to check out all the new things in the park, and we found a lot of things to show you, so let’s get started!

On our way into the park, we noticed new semi-circular cut-outs worked into the flexible dividers separating the benches in the Monorail. We spoke with a Monorail Cast Member and were told that the cut-outs were done in order to keep the divider from hindering the fire suppression system, which is directly above the divider in the ceiling. When we arrived at the park, we headed straight for The Emporium so we could check out all of the new Disney Dogs and Cats merchandise that was due to release today, and we were not disappointed! We have seen some of the collection already around Walt Disney World, but a lot of it was new today. Our favorite piece was the umbrella! While we were in The Emporium, we also found a new line of jewelry featuring icons from “Toy Story” and “Monsters University”. For more pictures and information, check out our article here.

The new mobile register we saw set up last week in the Ladies Apparel room has been moved to the Casey’s Corner expansion room, although it was not in use when we were there.

Across the street at The Confectionery, the wall of pre-packaged candy near the exit from the cold case line has been replaced with kitchen wares. We saw a similar swap at Goofy’s Candy Co. in Disney Springs last week.

Moving further into the park, we found two deluxe accessory sets available at Sir Mickey’s behind Cinderella Castle. One set features Cinderella, and the other set features Belle. Both sets retail for $34.99 each.

In Tomorrowland, we noticed that all of the Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover cars have been grouped together, but we didn’t see any movement or Cast Members on the platforms while we were in the park.

At Star Traders, we found a conspicuously-placed sale sign with the face masks, which led us to do some digging. Turns out that while the holiday sale signs still list a number of exclusions, including face masks, face masks are now a part of the 30% off sale. Despite asking multiple Cast Members, we were unable to get a clear answer on the remaining items on the exclusions list, with the exception of pins.

This Limited Release 24-Day Countdown Calendar is now a part of the 30% off sale, but the other holiday Limited Edition and Limited Release pins are not.

Also at Star Traders, we found this hot pink Corkcicle brand travel mug featuring a metallic Mickey Mouse. This tumbler retails for $34.99.

While we were in Tomorrowland, we came across Stitch dressed as Santa greeting guests from the Rockettower Stage. We love seeing characters out and about like this!

Work is continuing quickly on the section of illuminated canopy being assembled on the ground in the construction zone for TRON Lightcycle / Run.

Nearby however, absolutely no progress has been made to the train track at Fantasyland Station.

Moving along in the park, we noticed some demolition had occurred ahead of some construction in the drained Rivers of America. It appears that preparations are being made for concrete work to be done on the river bed and bank, and this area has been broken up and pulled out, we’re assuming in order to be repaired.

Just across the way, we stopped in to Frontier Trading Post, and found a new Limited Release Clone Wars pin featuring four different helmet designs. This pin retails for $15.99.

A tiny bit of Splash Mountain merchandise has returned to Splashdown Photos in the way of this youth shirt, which changes color and reveals a message when exposed to water. This was the only item available, and it was only available in sizes XS and S. It retails for $19.99.

We stopped by Bwana Bob’s across from Sunshine Tree Terrace today and were rewarded with the finding of two beautiful new fans, including this one featuring Cinderella Castle. For more pictures and information, check out our article here.

On our way out, we noticed a change to the menu at the Spring Roll cart, despite it being closed. While ordering one of each flavor spring roll has always been an option, it is now listed on the menu as something you can order, in case there was any confusion. We look forward to this cart being open seven days a week!
