Universal Orlando Resort
- Ring in the new year with our photo reports from December 26, December 27, December 31, and January 1
- Both Universal Studios Florida and Universal’s Islands of Adventure reached capacity at 10:15 AM on December 28
- We shared photos of the December 28 crowds
- The parks did not reopen later in the day on December 28
- Capacity was once again reached before 9:00 AM on December 29; once again, the parks did not reopen
- On December 29, Universal Orlando Resort warned guests that it expected the parks to reach capacity early on December 30
- Sure enough, the parks reached capacity at 7:30 AM on December 30
- Despite massive crowds on New Year’s Eve, the theme parks did not reach capacity

- Universal released new concept art of the Jurassic World VelociCoaster currently under construction
- Aerial images provided a unique view of the Jurassic World VelociCoaster, including two raptors
CityWalk
- A “2021” doughnut from Voodoo Doughnuts is so bad, it should have been a “2020” doughnut
Universal Studios Hollywood
- The Southern California stay-at-home order was automatically extended with regional ICU bed availability below 15%
- The stay-at-home order extension was officially announced on December 29
Universal Studios Japan
- Super Nintendo World commercials began airing in Osaka, giving us a look at Mario Kart: Koopa’s Challenge
