Just last week, the “Harmonious” ring arms received a decorative screen cover, and earlier this week the barges started a bit of refreshing with pressure washing and painting. Today we are seeing light testing on the ring arms and some new equipment appear on an additional work barge.
Another work barge has appeared, this one carrying a piece of heavy machinery like the one carrying a lift. This large, yellow piece of equipment is a crane used for heavy loads.
We didn’t observe the crane in use, but its presence indicates it will be needed in the near future.
Arm testing for “Harmonious” has been happening on a weekly basis. We can see some of the unfurled screen covers flapping in the breeze on one of the arms.
Today we see lights on and being tested along the length of the arms of the centerpiece ring barge. We have also seen the lighting effects on the ring itself being tested recently.
These arms will also feature a variety of lighting effects when the show is introduced, working in tandem with the ring and the outer barges.
The arms are nearly as tall as the centerpiece ring. Along with that, they are nearly long enough to meet in the middle and make a second rounded structure.
These screen barges are also having their arms tended to by workers.
Each barge has screens for the nighttime show, but will eventually operate as fountains during the day.
Over the past few weeks, we’ve also seen them testing the screens.
“Harmonious” currently has no start date, but is expected to debut as part of Walt Disney World’s 50th anniversary celebration later this year.
Stay tuned to WDWNT for more updates on “Harmonious” ahead of its premiere at EPCOT!
its a manlift, “personnel lift” NOT a crane.
I know this article is a week old, but were any of these photos taken from the UK pavilion? Seems like there are going to be a few spots where you will not see any of what’s going on in the stargate.
