Hello from another hot but beautiful day here at the Magic Kingdom! We came to check out all the new things here, and we’re glad we did. Let’s get started!
As announced two days ago, face masks are now once again required to be worn at all indoor locations, including shops, theaters, and attractions. For more pictures and information, check out our article here.
It appears that the refurbishment of the “Partners” statue has been completed, although the statue has returned to the same dark color it was before the refurbishment.
The pavement replacement in Tomorrowland also appears to have been completed, with no additional scoring visible, and all new pieces now symmetrical.
The waterfall in Tomorrowland was off today. We’ll be keeping an eye on this area for further developments.
The banners outside of the rear entrance of Big Top Souvenirs and Pete’s Silly Sideshow have been removed, perhaps in preparation for these large signs to be removed for refurbishment. The front entrance of Big Top Souvenirs has still not seen the return of its sign.
Work continues at a surprisingly fast rate on the new structure in the TRON Lightcycle / Run construction area. Smaller metal girders were added recently, which are silver with angled framing.
The iconic clocktower of “it’s a small world” got a colorful makeover during the brief refurbishment the attraction had during the last few days. For more pictures and information, check out our article here.
Additional lighting has been brought in and placed around Frontierland, no doubt for illuminating the upcoming After Hours event “Boo Bash.”
The drumming Native’s hut has been removed from Jungle Cruise. The entire “Native Celebration” scene has now been removed and replaced with the new Sinking Boat With Chimpanzees and Butterfly Crate scenes, which debuted yesterday.
The pavement work that we saw in Adventureland two days ago has progressed, and is now uncovered, although still blocked off from foot traffic.
The Pepper Jack Pretzel has returned to the menu at Cheshire Cafe. It was absent when the quick service location reopened earlier this week.
We found two new treats available at the park today, starting with this Chocolate Bundt Cake at Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe. This was a tasty, but slightly dry dessert. Keep an eye on WDWNT.com for our full review!
Next, we tried the much-anticipated Backside of Water Float from Sunshine Tree Terrace. This cute float had a mild flavor but suited us just fine! For more pictures and information, including our full review, check out our article here.
Moving on to merchandise, we found two new mugs today, both available at The Emporium for $14.99 each.
We found three new MagicBands today, featuring “Indiana Jones,” Liberty Square, and the Mad Hatter. For more pictures and information on all three, check out our article here.
We found a new Loungefly mini backpack at Uptown Jewelers featuring chibi versions of The Avengers. This bag retails for $75.00.
At Tomorrowland Light & Power Co, we found quite a few new shirt designs in the MaDe kiosk. The first three featured classic characters, including Mickey Mouse and Kermit the Frog.
Next, we found four featuring classic Princesses, including Snow White, Belle, Mulan, and Ariel.
We found seven designs featuring Star Wars, some with classic comic book art and some with more contemporary art.
Two also featured the Star Wars logo itself.
The last two designs featured Captain America. All shirts are customizable and start at $29.99.
Our favorite find of the day was this new Dress Shop dress featuring an all-over print of Mickey Balloons. For more pictures and information, check out our article here.
We had a wonderful time at the Magic Kingdom, and we hope you enjoyed coming along with us. Have a magical day!
