After a year of “Disney Enchantment,” Disney has announced that the “Happily Ever After” will return to Magic Kingdom next year. A specific date was not provided.
The “Happily Ever After” anthem will return as part of an updated spectacular and is expected to resemble the well-known “Happily Ever After” fireworks we all know and love.
“Disney Enchantment” replaced “Happily Ever After” in 2021 for the 50th anniversary of Walt Disney World. It received mixed reactions at best and was recently updated to add footage of Walt and Roy Disney. The 50th anniversary celebration will officially end in March 2023.
You can watch the final performance of Happily Ever After in September of 2020 on our YouTube channel or down below.

Is that actually what he said? I thought he just said the song was returning.
That will be the name of the show, it will be an updated version.
Fantastic news, the new show is so underwhelming. Just seems to be a show of clips, nothing memorable nothing to sing along to.
well, i just hope that this is the exact same show from 2017 to 2021 before it left on late September 2021.
I said exact same thing…just instrumental throughout the show. Where’s the sing-a-long bouncy ball.
Hooray! Happily ever after we’re the best ever. I loved wishes and was sad to see it go but happily ever after did not disappoint. Enchanted did.
I am so happy about this! Please don’t change it at all Diney. It’s perfect the way it is. It doesn’t need any updating.
Is anyone else concerned by the fact Disney is calling it an “updated” version of Happily Ever After? It’s perfect just the way it is/was. I hope they don’t ruin it.
I’m 100% with you. I’m praying they are very minimal changes like adding in some characters to the light display. But I agree that it is so perfect the way it is! Enchantment is terrible!
This is the best Disney news I’ve heard in a long time! Loved the original, hope that the “Updates” are mainly to the projections and the show’s power won’t be changed. Of course, maybe some new material from Coco and Encanto could be added somewhere–particularly a certain song about a certain somebody we don’t talk about…
Do we know when the first date will be when it return? Probably after the 50th I’m assuming.
