    • No, the facility will stay vacant until another team decides to move in. The Astros looked like the team to do it until they moved out of Kissimmee to West Palm Beach with the Nationals last year. Every team in Florida is basically settled, though there are some rumblings with the Blue Jays because Dunedin doesn’t want to pay tens of millions of dollars for a new spring training facility. As it stands now, Champion Stadium will be used for any high school baseball or other baseball tournaments that require the use of a field with MLB dimensions, which is sad, but sports ride or die off of money.

  1. I thought they left town or closed years ago. I would rather go to Sea World then pay to watch baseball. When can I buy tickets to NBA experience? I want to go before it closes like every other one sport resturant or park in town

    • They didn’t reach a formal agreement with Sarasota County until recently, like in 2017, so they were essentially forced to stay at WWOS until they could move elsewhere.
