The LA Style booth returns this year, and two of the three food items are holdovers from last year. We will warn you, the new items don’t make this booth any better.
Korean BBQ Beef Short Rib Tacos, $7.50
Last year this was $7.00, and we felt it wasn’t a great value then, and certainly not this year. Our thoughts from 2017:
Another solid offering, but not something I would recommend or order again. It’s fairly standard, pretty forgettable.
Chicken Teriyaki Slider with Spicy DOLE® Pineapple Jam, $6.50
Here’s what we thought last year:
This was solid, with the jam as the highlight. Probably not the best value for $6.50.
Mexican Chocolate Custard, $4.50
The one new dish at this booth was a disappointment. You’re paying $4.50 for a tiny cup of very plain chocolate pudding. There’s not really anything special about it.
Mango Agua Fresca (non-alcoholic). $5.00
Agua Fresca translates as “fresh water” or “cool water” – so basically this is fruity water, or in our mind, a watered-down mango juice. Certainly not worth the price.
This article looks delicious! Nice job.
