Disneyland Paris hosted a preview event of the Festival of Pirates and Princesses in the impressive Opera Garnier building in Paris. The event served to introduce characters, costumes, shows and the new soundtrack of the season that runs from March 31 to May 31, 2018.

The big headliner of the season is the 360 degrees show Disney Pirate or Princess: Make Your Choice! This show is featured four times a day and has more than hundred performers, including 21 acrobats. There are two floats to represent each team that will ride down the parade route in opposite directions. Right now, stages are being installed in the planters on Central Plaza in order to let the show take place all around the audience.

Next to this, there was a new announcement about a Jack Sparrow show that will take place six times a day on the Pirate Galleon that lays next to Adventure Isle, in Adventureland. Hoist the Flag, Mateys! will feature Sparrow looking for new pirates amongst the audience.

The Princesses will not be on the ship, but in front of the castle. In the Princess Promenade act, the princesses will stroll down from Sleeping Beauty Castle to Central Plaza. The selection of characters includes Elena of Avalor and Sofia the First, known from their series on Disney Junior!
