RUMOR: Free Dining Offer Returning to Walt Disney World April 23rd

Free Dining is one of the most popular offers for guests wanting to travel to Walt Disney World, and rumor has it that it’s making a return on April 23rd.

Last year, Free Dining returned with some changes for moderate resort stays. In 2017, guests who booked a Moderate resort stay only received free Quick Service Dining, rather than the Disney Dining Plan, which includes table service meals. The table service plan was only “free” to those booking a Deluxe resort.

We do not have exact details yet of whether there will be any changes this year, but based on prior years the benefits will stay the same or be slightly reduced compared to last year. In any case, you can be sure that it’ll remain a popular offer for out-of-town guests who choose to vacation at Walt Disney World this fall.

Also, with Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party starting earlier this year, we can expect that the offer will be relevant to those traveling in August, all the way through December while Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is happening.

    • 4 night pop century stay (2 adults, 2 kids):
would buy hopper anyway so the ticket cost does not figure.

current rack rate w/ tax: $675 (so thats how much it would cost with the free dining plan)

assume 30% discount on room for random enchanted savings plus stacking orbitz discount: $675 – 202.5= $472.5

cost of quick service plan for 2 adults & 1 kid (age 10) and 1 kid (age 7): $716.93

cost of discounted room + dining plan: 1189.43

Savings using “Free” dining plan: $514.43

      Mention it

  1. The rooms released for these are all high end views and premium rooms. Not worth it anymore. Maybe family of 4 in a value.
