CONFIRMED: Disney Announces Location of Star Wars Hotel Next to Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Connected to Galaxy’s Edge

Back in April, permits were filed with the South Florida Water Management District hinting at where the future Star Wars Resort could be built and today, the Disney Parks Blog confirmed that once again, WDWNT was correct.

The new Star Wars Immersive Resort will be built on the south side of Disney’s Hollywood Studios, east of World Drive near the current “main” entrance to Disney’s Hollywood Studios. In the image below, the green area labeled “SITE” is where the resort will be built. The resort will also be seamlessly connected to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge allowing guests to fully immerse themselves in the story. With the vehicle entrance roadway between the hotel and the park, we do not yet know exactly how the two will be connected, but we assume some kind of bridge will be built over the roadway.

As we’ve reported in the past, guests visiting this destination will “board a starship that comes alive with characters and stories that unfold all around them during their voyage through the galaxy.” Guests staying at this resort will also be welcome to dress in Star Wars-inspired attire to further enhance their immersive adventure.

  1. Although my partner and I are looking forward to Star Wars A Galaxy’s Edge, the premise behind this hotel is outright creepy.

  2. I’ll be there as soon as they announce reservations. The idea of an immersive hotel experience with Star Wars characters walking around and an ongoing storyline is the least “creepy” and most awesome thing I can hope for.
