In an effort to reduce wait times and increase efficiency, Disney has added a pre-show video to Splash Mountain at Magic Kingdom.

There are two screens that display the same pre-show video. The first is located towards the end of the line where the Standby and FastPass lines meet. The second is right before the load area. The pre-show video explains how to properly pull down the lap bar in the ride vehicle, as well as how to stow away personal items.

This isn’t the first attraction to retroactively add this kind of pre-show video. Recently, Space Mountain, Toy Story Midway Mania, and Seven Dwarfs Mine Train have all added pre-show videos in hopes of maximizing ride efficiency.

  1. Good! A teenager when I went a year or two ago was STANDING in the log. I was waiting for his head to come clear off. It ruined my ride.
