Menu Changes Coming to San Angel Inn Restaurante in Epcot’s Mexico Pavilion

The river of time has brought new menu changes to Epcot’s San Angel Inn. Highlights of the new menu at the Mexico Pavilion mainstay include a new chorizo empanada appetizer, chipotle-marinated shrimp, and coconut flan.

Joining the menu are:

  • Tostadas de Camarón – Crispy corn tortillas topped with Acapulco-style shrimp and avocado – $14.50
  • Sopes de Champiñón – Handmade corn shells filled with sautéed wild mushrooms with garlic and epazote, topped with queso fresco and salsa verde – $12.50
  • Empanada de Chorizo – Corn masa empanadas filled with chorizo and potatoes, topped with mole Oaxaqueño, crema Mexicana and queso fresco – $12.50
  • Camarones al Chipotle – Chipotle-marinated shrimp served with roasted potatoes and green beans – $28.00
  • Puerco en Salsa Verde – Slow-braised pork in salsa verde served with rice and beans. Accompanied by corn tortillas – $27.00
  • Flan de Coco – Coconut custard topped with toasted coconut and crème anglaise (Price currently unknown)

And leaving the menu are:

  • Coctel de Carmarón – Acapulco-style Shrimp Cocktail in a spicy Marinated Tomato Sauce with Avocado and Lime served with Flour Chicharrón – $14.50
  • Camarones al Ajillo – Garlic Sautéed Shrimp with Chile Guajillo and Camtimpalo Chorizo served over Garlic Roasted Potatoes – $28.00
  • Carnitas de Puerco – Slowly Braised Pork Carnitas served with Roasted Zucchini, Rice, Beans, and Corn Tortillas – $27.00
  • Traditional Vanilla Flan – Sweetened egg custard topped with caramel sauce – $8.00
  • Nieves – Traditional Mexican Sorbets – $8.00
  • 5 De Mayo – Gracias a Dios mezcal (100% Agave), pomegranate liqueur, agua de jamaica, Combier grapefruit liqueur, fresh lime juice, served on the rocks with hibiscus salt rim – $15.00
  • Mexican Mule – Ancho Reyes liqueur, Milagro reposado tequila, fresh lime juice, ginger beer, and mole bitters – $14.00

  1. You’ve got to try the Huitlacoche. Very gross but tasty! Google it and it will turn your stomach but it’s not that bad really. I hope they don’t get rid of this Appetizer!
