It’s a beautiful morning at Magic Kingdom! Let’s see what’s going on in the most magical place on earth today.
Merchandise
As I was strolling down Main Street U.S.A, I noticed that the recently-released line of Toy Story 4 merchandise has made it to the Emporium.
It’s not quite as big of a display as is at Mouse Gear in Epcot, but there’s a lot to choose from here.
They have a great line of Parks-themed clothing from “Junk Food” brand. You can see our full coverage of it here.
We even saw a photo shoot going on for the new line over in Frontierland.
I would assume this is either for the Junk Food website, or the Disney Parks Blog.
Over in Uptown Jewelers on Main Street, they still have a deal going on for their Dress Shop dresses.
It’s not a bad deal if you like this style of clothing.

I found this cute kid’s hat as well, today. It has Minnie Mouse and Figaro in front of what looks like Sleeping Beauty Castle. I’d prefer it were Cinderella Castle, but they don’t ask for my input anymore since they stopped taking my calls.

If you hit the hub at the right time on the right day, they might have the Main Street Vehicles parked for photo opportunities. It’s that sweet spot early in the morning, when the crowds have picked up on Main Street, but right before the first show on the stage.

Tomorrowland Speedway
We’re very close to the reopening of the Tomorrowland Speedway. It’s scheduled to open on May 18th.

One of the last touches they’re working on for the queue is the replacement of the old colorful umbrellas.
They took some of the umbrellas and painted them white. Ultimately all of them will be subject to the white-washing of Tomorrowland.
They appear to be doing their final checks of the new track portions.
Always wear your hard hat when driving these cars.
They repainted some of the lines on the loading station, as well.
They’re also redoing the concrete just outside the attraction. This is usually the space the queue will extend to on busy days.
Other Projects
Tomorrowland’s new paint scheme continues. They just repainted Merchant of Venus and a few other areas. You can see more of that over here.
The concrete work in-between Splash Mountain and Big Thunder Mountain seems to be nearing completion. There are just a few spots left to be replaced.
Just don’t park your stroller in the wet concrete. You might not get it back.
Progress seems to have slowed on the Cinderella Castle pathway expansion project. It’s going to be a rough summer for crowds if they don’t get this path open in a timely manner.
It will certainly be nice, whenever it’s finished.
That’s it from me. What current project at Magic Kingdom are you most excited about? Let us know in the comments.
I’m excited to see the Cinderella Castle pathway expansion. Hope they get it finished fast!!
