We’re incredibly excited for the all-new season coming to Disneyland Paris this summer: The Lion King and Jungle Festival. Taking place from June 30 to September 22, the resort looks set to be taken over by a herd of special performances, shows, treats, and meet & greets, all themed around two of Disney’s wildest classics.

This week, during an exclusive broadcast, Disneyland Paris shared a very special, behind-the-scenes look at the “Making Of” the two new performances which will debut during the festival: “The Lion King: Rhythms of the Pride Lands” and “The Jungle Book Jive”. Check it out for a sneak peek at the costumes, set design, music recordings and more…

“The Lion King: Rhythms of the Pride Lands”

Oh, I just can’t WAIT to see this show! As you can see from the video, this stage show looks set to be a stunning and emotional celebration of everything we love about the legend of Simba. The show will feature all our favourite songs and characters, and the level of detail put into the set design and costumes looks second-to-none. It’s interesting to note that, for this performance, Rafiki will be played by a male actor (it’s usually a female portraying the character on stage). Also, the percussive elements to the show (“a giant stage of drums” sounds incredible!) will be sure to have all the guests out of their seats and dancing to the rhythms of the pride lands.

Don’t forget, if you’re looking to live this experience to the max, make sure you check out the Lion King Signature Experience package, which will grant you best seats in the house for the show, along with many other ROAR-some perks.

“The Jungle Book Jive”

The Jungle Book Jive will allow guests to join the King of the Swingers and dance throughout the Disneyland Paris resort. The show will feature giant, colorful animals made up of percussion instruments, and performers and artists from India, bringing more than just the bare necessities for a wild time!

Will you be heading over to join the herd and celebrate The Lion King & Jungle Festival? As always, stay tuned to WDWNT for all the latest news on special events, celebrations and more across Disneyland Paris resort!
