Rose Walk Pathway Near Imagination Pavilion Connecting World Showcase and Future World West To Close For Widening Project at Epcot

Despite the gorgeous views of flower quilts during the Flower & Garden Festival, one of my least favorite pathways to take at Epcot is the narrow one that connects Future World West (right around the Imagination! pavilion) to the Canada pavilion in the World Showcase. The bottlenecks that occur here rival that of the old Cinderella Castle pathway over at the Magic Kingdom.

Well, it seems that Epcot’s Rose Walk (as the pathway is otherwise known) is getting the widening treatment as well. The pathway will be closing on June 4 to accommodate for construction. The entire span of the walkway will be widened to improve guest flow in the area ahead of the Food & Wine Festival (and the herds of people traversing through Epcot to get to Hollywood Studios for Galaxy’s Edge) come August 31st.

What this might mean for the adjacent space that’s occasionally used as a pop-up playground during busy festival times, and the actual rose beds surrounding the walkway, is still unknown.

We’ll keep you updated as to the status of the walkway and its progress upon the start of construction through our numerous construction updates and photo reports. Stay tuned!
