Another day in the Magic Kingdom, and she’s getting ready for one of the biggest shows of the year, the 4th of July. But before the crowds start piling in, let’s get this photo report started!
My lap usually starts in Tomorrowland, where I kick of the day with a ride on the PeopleMover to get a look at the TRON construction, but today the PeopleMover was closed for technical difficulties. I checked back in on it a couple times while I was here with no luck.
Before I left Tomorrowland, I stopped in the Light and Power Co. shop. A few of the new D-Tech magnet designs we showed you last month now have the option to customize with your name! The base price of the magnets is $14.99, and its an additional $3 to add your name.
Since I couldn’t get a look at TRON from the PeopleMover, the next best view is from the queue of the Barnstormer, so I headed over into Storybook Circus.
I still get excited every time checking out this construction progress, and I can’t wait for this addition to Tomorrowland.
Track pieces were popping up like daisies for a while, but the visual progress has been pretty stagnant for a while. We’re still waiting to see more track installed connecting to the brake run to the right of the photo above. Overall, she is looking GOOD though.
In Fantasyland, all of the scrim has come down around the old Castle Couture location, only to be replaced by a construction wall. Baby steps, kids. Baby steps. The colors on the new facade look really fresh and vibrant, though.
Around the corner from Castle Couture, progress is still moving along on the pathway widening project. With the new edge of the pathway laid, I’m hoping this starts speeding along. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, I miss my shortcut and my iron benches.
In Adventureland, the menu sign outside of Tortuga Tavern is still blank, and not reflecting the recent menu changes. But don’t worry! We tried the new menu items and reviewed them for you, check out our post to see what’s new to order at Tortuga Tavern.
Last but not least, before I headed out for the day, I tried the new It’s a Party sundae at the Plaza Ice Cream Parlor. It’s here for a limited time in celebration of Independence Day, make sure you read the review to see if this one should be on your must-try list this week.
