REVIEW: Salted Caramel Bubble Waffle Trophy Sundaes Pop Up at AristoCrepes in Disney Springs

Happy National Ice Cream Day!

AristoCrepes has found a new challenge for us to take on at Disney Springs. A giant Bubble Waffle Trophy Sundae sounds like the perfect way to beat the heat, right? We have our choice of either Strawberry or Salted Caramel, served in a giant “Ralph’s Family Challenge” trophy. We’re craving something chocolatey, so we decided to brave the Salted Caramel Bubble Waffle.

For $14.99, we received a heaping portion inside a plastic souvenir trophy with Wreck-It Ralph on the front.

Bubble waffles are similar to waffles, but they break off easily into bite-sized pieces, or “bubbles”. The bubble waffle is fresh and fluffy and serves as the base of the sundae. It gives off a waffle cone vibe, but with a softer feel and fresher taste. The whole presentation is beautiful, and people will stop and stare.

Heaping scoops of chocolate ice cream are topped with chocolate covered pretzels, whipped cream, crispy pearls, and caramel sauce. You can see there’s a plentiful amount of toppings, too. The chocolate ice cream has a very rich flavor that will surely satisfy any sweet tooth. The chocolate-covered pretzels add a salty taste to the sweet chocolate ice cream, and there’s plenty of caramel sauce and whipped cream to top it all off.

We also noticed that the sundae was served inside a bowl and placed inside the trophy. Even though the trophy does get a little dirty and sticky, it’s much easier to clean than some souvenir items (it took forever to scrape all the orange cream stuff out of my Orange Bird sipper, so this is greatly appreciated).

The Caramel Bubble Waffle Trophy earns the title of family challenge, so you may want to plan to share with a friend. If you’re looking for a smaller treat, don’t forget that AristoCrepes also has edible cookie dough. AristoCrepes is located at the Disney Springs Marketplace, near Goofy’s Candy Co. and Rainforest Cafe. They open at 4:00 PM on weekdays, and noon on Saturday and Sunday, so plan your visit accordingly. Will you be heading out to Disney Springs to take on the challenge?
