REVIEW: New Alcoholic Rodian Ration Provision Dessert Barely Gives A Buzz at Oga’s Cantina in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Bright suns, travelers! We’re back at Black Spire Outpost on Batuu in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, so of course we had to make a stop in Oga’s Cantina for some refreshments after piloting the Falcon.

Most of the menu is identical to Oga’s Cantina in Disneyland (which we’ve already tried and reviewed, check it out here), with the exception of a newly-added provision with alcohol, the Rodian Ration.

The Rodian Ration is a green (like the Rodian species it was named after) gelatin-based dessert, with Tito’s Handmade Vodka, Dekuyper Pucker Sour Apple, Green Apple, Sprite, and popping Boba Balls. It’s topped with red coated candies, and Pop Rocks. I love the subtle nod to Greedo in the name of this drink, especially with it being served in the Cantina.

With the addition of alcohol to this provision, it’s basically a space Jell-O Shot now. The green apple flavor was pretty strong, but to be honest, I didn’t taste the alcohol at all. I loved the sensation of the Pop Rocks on top mixed with the popping bobas all in one bite.

This concoction was just as fun to look at as it was to eat, but on the downside, I’m what you would call a “lightweight” when it comes to alcoholic beverages, yet I walked away from this tasting and feeling absolutely none of it.

For the price point of the Rodian Ration at $13.50, I might just stick with the alcohol-less Oga’s Obsession priced at $7.50 instead. $13.50 will not having you leave this transaction saying “good barter”.

Are any of the souvenir cups/beer flight board going to be for sale? I have a couple reservations during the first week and don’t see it mentioned on the menu?!
