Yesterday marked the official end of Mickey and Minnie’s Surprise Celebration, which means changes to several of the Magic Kingdom character meet and greets.
As of this morning, Pluto is no longer greeting guests in Pete’s Silly Sideshow, but is instead roaming the Storybook Circus area.
Pluto will be roaming Storybook Circus in the mornings and then greeting guests in Calliope Tent in the afternoons. Calliope Tent is right between Pete’s Silly Sideshow and the nearby Walt Disney World Railroad station.
For the past year, Pluto has been greeting guests in Minnie’s section of Pete’s Silly Sideshow, while Minnie met guests in Town Square Theater with Mickey.
Minnie was in her Surprise Celebration outfit with Mickey, but now she’s back in Storybook Circus as Minnie Magnifique. She will be greeting guests in Calliope Tent with Daisy today and tomorrow. She will then return to Pete’s Silly Sideshow on October 3. The delay is likely to allow time to update the signage of Pete’s Silly Sideshow to include Minnie’s name instead of Pluto’s.
Daisy and Minnie meet on the same side of Pete’s Silly Sideshow, so Daisy’s usual meet and greet area is also closed during the update.
Anastasia, Drizella, and the Fairy Godmother have also moved locations. They will now be greeting guests at the castle wall closest to Pinocchio Village Haus. The Fairy Godmother previously met at the other castle wall, and the stepsisters met just behind the castle. They will be rotating with each other at the new location.
Over in Frontierland, Chip and Dale are scheduled to be roaming in the mornings. They didn’t come out this morning because of rain, but we got another chance to see them in the afternoon. They’ll be meeting near the Splash Mountain exit in the afternoons from now on.
Finally, as reported earlier today, Mickey is back in his magician outfit at Town Square Theater.
Will you be taking advantage of these new and updated Magic Kingdom character meet and greets? We loved see so many classic characters today!
Can’t wait to see Mickey again! Got to admit that I wish that it was still Minnie and him together. My greatest childhood memory was walking with Mickey and Minnie through the topiary garden when I visited WDW in 1977.
Do you know which characters will meet at the flagpole now?
